Neurological rehabilitation helps patients whose nervous system has been damaged - after disc disease, spinal injuries or neurosurgery, and with conditions causing paresis. The goal is to restore the ability to move, improve sensation and coordination, and rebuild muscles that waste quickly without use.
When is it needed?
- after spinal surgery or conservative treatment of disc disease,
- with paresis or paralysis of the limbs,
- with balance and coordination problems,
- after injuries affecting nerves.
The methods we use
- neuro-rehabilitation exercises and sensory stimulation,
- the underwater treadmill - relearning gait with the body safely supported by water,
- INDIBA therapy to support tissues and reduce pain,
- manual therapy plus balance and proprioception exercises.
Patience and realistic goals
Recovery of the nervous system takes weeks, sometimes months, and progress comes gradually. Prognosis depends on the cause, the degree of damage and how quickly therapy started; patients who keep sensation in their limbs usually do best. Even where full recovery is not possible, consistent work clearly improves strength, independence and quality of life. Every small step counts.
The owner is part of the team
Between visits the owner does much of the work: short daily exercises, safe assistance (support harnesses help), and a home set up for the patient - non-slip mats, no jumping, secured stairs, accessible bedding and bowls. We teach you exactly what to do and how. If your pet is facing a neurological problem, book a consultation at the MultiVet clinic in Lutynia near Wrocław - together we will set a realistic recovery plan.
