2. Legal bases and purposes of processing
We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and the Polish Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018. Your data are processed for the following purposes:
- providing veterinary services and keeping treatment records for the animal - under Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR (performance of a contract and legal obligations),
- handling enquiries and booking visits (phone, e-mail, online booking system) - under Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (legitimate interest - responding to your enquiry),
- issuing accounting documents - under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (tax and accounting obligations),
- establishing or defending against claims - under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR,
- marketing of our own services - solely on the basis of consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), where given.
3. Scope of the data processed
Depending on the purpose we process, among others: name and surname, phone number, e-mail address, address, the animal's details (species, breed, age, treatment history), and - for accounting documents - the data required to issue an invoice. Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to book a visit and provide the service.
4. Data retention period
We keep data for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected, and then for the period required by law (e.g. accounting records - 5 years) or until any claims become time-barred. Data processed on the basis of consent are kept until the consent is withdrawn.
5. Recipients of the data
Data may be shared with entities supporting the Controller's operations, only to the necessary extent and under appropriate agreements, including: IT and hosting providers, the visit-booking system operator, the accounting office and diagnostic laboratories. Data are not transferred outside the European Economic Area unless the level of protection required by the GDPR is ensured.
6. Your rights
In connection with the processing of your data you have the following rights:
- the right of access to your data and to receive a copy of them,
- the right to rectification (correction) of your data,
- the right to erasure ("the right to be forgotten"),
- the right to restriction of processing,
- the right to data portability,
- the right to object to processing,
- the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal),
- the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
7. Cookies and third-party tools
The website uses cookies - small text files stored on the user's device. They fall into two groups:
- essential cookies - required for the website to work properly and to remember your consent decision. They need no consent and are not used for tracking.
- analytics cookies - Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). They show us which pages are visited and where visitors come from. They run only after you give consent - the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We receive aggregate statistics only, IP addresses are truncated, and event data is retained for 14 months.
Google Maps. Our contact page and local pages embed a Google Maps route map. The map does not load automatically - a cover with a button appears in its place. Only when you press that button (or have already accepted cookies) does your browser connect to Google's servers, which may set their own cookies.
Managing your consent. On your first visit we show a banner with two choices: "I agree" or "Essential only". You can change or withdraw that decision at any time - the "Cookie settings" link sits in the footer of every page. Consent is remembered for 12 months, after which we ask again. You can also restrict or disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some features of the website.
We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you give consent, Google stores no analytics or advertising cookies on your device. We do not run remarketing and do not share data for advertising purposes.
8. Changes to this policy
The Controller reserves the right to amend this privacy policy. The current version is always available on this page. Last updated: 1 April 2026.
